The Ultimate guide is approx 26 pages, including pictures. It is bare basics. I thought it was a book cover when I opened the box. I flipped it back and forth until I realized this was the book. I have bought several books for games that are "Ultimate". THIS is NOT what you would expect for $9.99 or expect at all from the title. It is so bad that I feel ripped off. I have never left a negative review before. This was for our 16yr son's Birthday. NO WAY. My 9 yr old is far past this and he just started. The Pokemon sticker book we bought for the younger one surpasses this. I paid extra from Prime to get it here for his birthday today. Just got it. I am off to the store.Product details

I looked through several books, but this one explained the game best for me. I'm a sixty-one year old tech-capable mom and I find the game interesting and fun. I have a better understanding of the game thanks to this book.
Seriously it has the worst info ever and it also is really really really short and has really bad info in it it is a waste of money
Informative for new players but hardly an ultimate guide. This is the same information found on many public forums currently. No references or charts that discuss strengths and weaknesses, no guide to what is received upon each level, no references to what type of pokemon hatch from each egg. Again, helpful but I would not call it an ultimate guide.
This wasn't very helpful as everything in it was easily found on the internet or as I leveled up. This book would be best for someone just starting the game.
This "ultimate guide" is for absolute beginners only. Only very, very basic info. It might be informative for the complete novice, but if you have played the game for more than a few minutes, then you have learned everything in this "guide." Don't waste your money. It took only five minutes to read. In an "ultimate guide," I was expecting more in-depth information about types of pokemon, game strategy and the best pokemon to evolve for battle/gym play, and tracking tips, etc., but it wasn't here.
